The goal of the Jacksonville Fencing Club is to promote the classical sport of fencing. The club has been in existence since the 1950's and has a rich tradition of excellence in its instruction. The club has had many champions among its ranks over the years and continues to do so. The club is open to ages 8 to 98 and offers a variety of opportunities for the novice up to the competitive fencer. The club is coached by Mr. Raul Toro who has over 30 years experience in the sport. So if you are looking for a sport to get or stay fit, build discipline and build confidence, this is the sport for YOU! This is a sport for children and adults alike. This is a sport for a lifetime! The Jacksonville Fencing Club hosted the Summer Epee Tournament on august 22nd. The event was attended by 17 fencers and was rated a C1 event. Congratulations to the following JFC fencers:

The Jacksonville Fencing Club hosted a team event on August 21st. There was a total of eleven teams that competed in both the Y12 and Y14/Adult event. Congratulations to the following teams:

The Jacksonville Fencing Club hosted their annual fencing camp in partnership with Episcopal High School on July 19th through the 30th. The camp was well attended by 27 campers for the two weeks. Mark on your calendars for 2011 the camp will be the last two weeks of July.

The Jacksonville Fencing Club competed at the Florida State Games in Lakeland, Florida on June 19th and 20th. Congratulations to the following fencer:

The Jacksonville Fencing Club in partnership with Smartbox and Experience Genie were a part of two time cancer survivor Camille McCracken’s dream day. Camille was able to drive a luxury car during the day and meet with the Jaguars in the morning and came to the Jacksonville Fencing Club in the afternoon for a fencing lesson. The club was honored to be able to play a part in Camille’s special day.

Fencers form the Jacksonville Fencers Club recently competed at the North American Cup in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
There were 64 competitors in the Y10 Men’s Foil, 90 competitors in the Y12 Men’s Foil, 137 competitors in the Y14 Men’s foil.

The Jacksonville Fencing Club competed at the Gateway Division National Qualifier on April 3rd. The club qualified eight people to fence at the National Championships in July in Atlanta Georgia. Congratulations to the following fencers:

On April 11th Victoria Ge competed in the Fioretto youth tournament in Jacksonville, Florida. Congratulations to Victoria for taking first place and winning the gold.
