The goal of the Jacksonville Fencing Club is to promote the classical sport of fencing. The club has been in existence since the 1950's and has a rich tradition of excellence in its instruction. The club has had many champions among its ranks over the years and continues to do so. The club is open to ages 8 to 98 and offers a variety of opportunities for the novice up to the competitive fencer. The club is coached by Mr. Raul Toro who has over 40 years experience in the sport. So if you are looking for a sport to get or stay fit, build discipline and build confidence, this is the sport for YOU! This is a sport for children and adults alike. This is a sport for a lifetime! The Jacksonville Fencing Club is home to Princess Rashid the 2006 National Women's Epee Champion and Lance Tan the 2011 Pan Am Games Youth Epee champion. Also home to a cadre of currently nationally ranked youth.
The Jacksonville Fencing Club free intro and demo has been cancelled and moved to the spring due to preparation for the Highland Games on February 25th at the Clay County Fairgrounds. Keep checking for the date on this website.
The Jacksonville Fencing Club competed on January 28th and 29th at the Iron Works Grinder on January 28th in Viera ,Florida and also competed in the Gateway Division Open Epee. on February 29th. Trey Neil earned his A rating winning the Gateway Epee open.

The Jacksonville Fencing Club hosted the 10th annual River City Duel Til You Drop on January 14th. This was the biggest tournament ever with over 200 entries. The tournament included dagger fencing this year making the dagger event the first ever in the world. The event was covered by the media nationwide. The Jacksonville Fencing Club fencers competed in the ACN Atlanta Foil Epee Tournament on December 17th and 18th in Atlanta, Georgia. Congratulations to the medal winners:

The North American Cup was held in Kansas City Missouri on December 9th-12th. Josh Derbabian fenced in the Division II Mens Foil event and won a medal finishing 7th out of 65 competitors. He also renewed his “C” rating and was one touch from earning his “B” rating.
